Orange County has over 200 trails for hiking along the beach, hills and canyons. There are beginner to advanced trails, most are marked easy to difficult. Many trails will take you to the top of the local hills and have great views of the sunset, local snowcapped mountains, Catalina Island, and all the way to the Los Angeles skyline.

Surfing:
While quality surfing can be found year-round, the best time of year to surf is in the summer and fall, when there are larger swells. It is important to note that these five surfing OC beaches are the best for experienced surfers.
